Yesterday we embarked on the long awaited rubbish press trip, giving the exclusive story of how waste generated at Chineham Park in Basingstoke goes on an interesting journey. Only two journalists were allowed on the trip so they could have the dedicated attention of the combined MEPC & Grundon senior executives. Without revealing any of the finer details, we needed helmets, gloves, boots and safety glasses, we climbed up (and down) 61 metres whilst still inside and we learnt how light and air help the waste management process.
